Carcass classification and grading
 FMRI is responsible for the classification control activities and training of classifiers
   in Finland under supervision of the Agency for Rural Affairs.
Europ grid method of carcass classification is used in abattoirs in Finland.

Training

Training Centre of The Finnish Meat Industry started as a part of FMRI in 1954 and is today a leading trainer of meat and convenience food industry employees in Finland. Training centre also develops meat industry education in Finland.
